A quiet week.

This is our first week with no scheduled appointments.  Mathias' STEM class is off for summer break, the girl's swim class is over, piano just wrapped up for the year (although we will have 1x per month lessons through the summer) and all of the May birthdays and holidays have finally come to an end.  It felt like a whirlwind of activity and most of May is a bit of a blur.  This week will provide a much needed lull in activities before summer picks up with Vacation Bible school and writing intensive camps in June.
The kids have their first piano recitals on Saturday morning and I am so proud of all they have accomplished this year with music.  Mathias has really taken to lessons and has become quite enjoyable to listen to during his practice times.
We meet with a potential builder on Thursday to discuss our land and finally breaking ground.  After visiting it with my parents this weekend I am more than ready to be out there!
Our CSA veggie pickup this year has been amazing so far and includes 2 dozen farm fresh eggs each week.  They deliver it right to our crossfit box around the same time the kids have class so it works perfectly for our schedule.
We finally received some test results back that indicate an overall sickness inside my body that we are treating with heavy doses of probiotics and another slew of supplements, rest and nutrition.  We will test again in 4 weeks to see how I am feeling and adjusting from there.  I might try a few workouts these next couple weeks and see how those feel as well.  In the meantime, we are pushing through with reading and math lessons, lots of library trips, and garden hose play.

Memorial Day weekend

Nana and papa came for an impromptu visit over our long weekend break.  It was filled with Jeep rides, shopping in historic Franklin, late night game nights, bonfires and lots of laughs!
Papa also brought his drone to film our land- which he had never seen until now.

Adventure Science Center

We spent the day at the Adventure Science Center today so we could miss the summer rush that is sure to come from school being over soon.

It is such a fun place for all of us!

The planetarium show was called Dynamic Earth and we learned all about how our earth is perfect for sustaining life.

Half way

We are half way through our 1st week back and it’s been a whirlwind of facts, checklists, narration, a few tears, good books, chores, bible ...
