The truck with our stuff doesn't arrive until Monday or Tuesday so we are staying at Eric's temporary housing for the weekend but driving up to the house for some swim time while we wait.

Cheekwood

The last stop on our To-Do bucket list for Nashville before we move.  It was blazing hot and the kids complained the entire time but by-golly we got it in.

Bye Babysitters

Saying goodbye to these sweet girls (Miss Hannah and Noa Pope) was so hard for the kids.  We love them and are so grateful for their care of our littles.

Final Nashville date

We saw Sleeping Beauty Ballet.  It was amazing.

Thank you Mr. Stowe

The kids just had their last piano lesson with Mr. Stowe. Really sad to say goodbye to a teacher that has had a wonderful influence in their lives both in music and life

Sleepyhead

This sleepyhead...
She fought me tooth and nail for over 2 hours to fall asleep at nap time. I finally crawled into bed with her and pulled her close. She was out within 5 minutes. A great reminder that sometimes when my kids push away they need me to pull them in and hold them secure with patience and loving understanding.

This month has been a whirlwind of upheaval with traveling, visitors and trying to squeeze in all of the Nashville that we can possible manage.  My heart is heavy.

Belmont Mansion

The final stop in my book tour of Nashville (for now- the Carnton plantation books with be released next year) The Belmont Mansion.  Adelecia Acklan was one of the wealthiest women of her time and her estate dripped in elegance and wealth.  It was such a treat to walk the home that I have read so much about in my historical fiction series.  It was beautiful.

Green

Love spending time with this handsome guy.

Skate Party

Allie requested a roller skating party with a few select friends for her 7th birthday.  She has never had a friend party so we thought it would be a sweet way for her to say goodbye to some of her favorite friends.

Followed by delicious ice cream at Jeni's with Auntie Nikki.

Half way

We are half way through our 1st week back and it’s been a whirlwind of facts, checklists, narration, a few tears, good books, chores, bible ...
