We put aside the books and worksheets today in order to harvest nearly 60 black walnuts. The kids peeled them and washed them. Now they are curing for about 2 weeks in the garage. When they are completely dried out we will crack them with a hammer and wire snip the nut meat out. It's very labor intensive but they loved doing it. Now all of our fingers, despite wearing gloves, are stained black and yellow from the pulp.

Gift ideas for the holidays
With Christmas coming up soon here are a few gift ideas for the kiddos. We really dont need any more toys or even clothes as our home keeps the stuff at bay bc of our limited space (which we love).
- Science Museum membership
- Zoo membership
- JoyBay scooters are the only "toy"
- BOOKS (the book store is the kid's favorite place to go right now!)
- Hidden in my heart lullaby CDs for sleep/quiet times- are so lovely!
- Chuck black audio books (The kingdom series, The knights of arrethtrea)
- Boy and girl Legos are fine
- They don't have to be these specifically, but the kids would love portable cd players to listen to worship cds and audio books during their quiet times and car rides.

Due to a busy schedule we pushed Eric's bday out to today. But we made it up to him with lots of presents, love and chocolate.

Kid dentist
We finally found a new pediatric dentist for the kids here in TN. They all did great until Brielle had to get her teeth cleaned. It took 30 min and a lot of coaxing but she finally agreed to get them done sitting up. Allie had 1 cavity.
