Skate Party

Allie requested a roller skating party with a few select friends for her 7th birthday.  She has never had a friend party so we thought it would be a sweet way for her to say goodbye to some of her favorite friends.

Followed by delicious ice cream at Jeni's with Auntie Nikki.

Nashville Zoo with Nikki

I think Brielle finally realized why we can't have a pond in Florida...

 After several trips to the zoo, this was the first time a kangaroo was close enough to touch.  He was the softest thing I have ever felt.  It was amazing and the kids were so happy.

 The bird aviary is still our favorite stop...

 We also got a historic tour of the plantation where it all started.  So we can basically count this trip as a full school day.

Allie is 7!

This beautiful girl is 7 today!  She is a sweet mama helper and told me the other day that she can't wait to homeschool her kids.  Melt my heart.  She love school and her favorite subject is writing.  She is naturally athletic and surprisingly competitive.  She is strong-willed yet very compassionate.  We love our sweet middle and she is such a sweet gift.

Her number 1 requested gift this year was a brown skinned baby doll.  She named her Charlotte.

We also got her a giant wooden doll house for her new girly room in our new house.

After nearly 2 weeks away the kids have swept him up in games and stories about our days without him (which are basically the same as when he is home)
